Near Burlington, the Nassahegan State Forest has over 20 miles of trails shared by hikers and bikers. To reach the trailhead, follow US84 to exit 39. Head west on SR4 towards Burlington. Turn left on to Belden Road and then left on to George Washington Turnpike. Park at recreation center on right and the trailhead is across street.

Overall, Nassahegan State Forest is the 5th most popular hiking trail of all 16 hikes in Connecticut.
