South of Brandon, the 4,900 acre Boyette Park has about 12 miles of trail shared by hikers and bikers winding past the dozen lakes. There are plenty of side trails to explore through the upland scrub brush and woods.

Overall, Boyette County Park is the 30th most popular hiking trail of all 43 hikes in Florida. Several of the better hiking trails are nearby Boyette County Park including Myakka Trail, Oscar Scherer State Park and Deer Prairie Creek Preserve.
