Near Piedmont in Belmont County, this 14,300 acre Egypt Valley Wildlife Area was onced owned by the Egypt Valley Coal Company for strip mining. There are two large tracks around Piedmont Lake that have hiking trails. The ODNR is now working to improve water quality in Lick Run.

Overall, Egypt Valley Wildlife Area is the 5th most popular hiking trail of all 24 hikes in Ohio.
