Southeast of Pittsburgh near Ohiopyle on Sugarloaf Mountain, the 19,000 acre Ohiopyle State park has 14 miles of rocky, hilly hiking on mixed single and double tracks.
To reach Ohiopyle State Park from the PA Turnpike, take Exit 9, Donegal. Turn left on Rt. 31 east. Travel about two miles, turn right onto Rts. 711 and 381 south. Travel ten miles to Normalville (first stop sign), turn left onto Rt. 381 south for 11 miles to Ohiopyle.
Overall, Ohiopyle State Park Trails is the 6th most popular hiking trail of all 32 hikes in Pennsylvania.
