Southeast of Elko and northwest of Ruby Valley in the lushly forested 90,000 acres Ruby Mountain Wilderness, the 43 mile Ruby Crest National Recreation Trail runs the craggy range with lupines, bluebells, glacial lakes, bighorns and mountain goats. Note, water may be limited at times so check with the local ranger station.
North of Elko and southeast of Jarbidge, the Gods Pocket Peak Trail is an 11 mile route open to horseback riding. The route runs through the Jarbidge Wildnerness Area up to the East Fork Of Jarbidge River Trail (#200).
