Northwest of Reading near Leesport, the Blue Marsh Lake Area has 28 miles of rolling horseback trails twisting through green meadows and dark hardwood forests. The main Blue Marsh Lake trail (22 mi.) follows the edge of the lake and passes through forest, bridal trails and some gravel roads.

Overall, Blue Marsh Lake Trail is the 2nd most popular horse trail of all 11 horseback rides in Pennsylvania.
