Sam Houston National Forest Horseback Riding

The 6th most popular equestrian trail in Texas.

North of Houston and just northeast of Conroe, the Sam Houston National Forest has 67 miles of multi-use trails. There are 2 on-way loops marked by red arrows.

To reach the horseback riding trailhead from Houston, head north on US45 for 60 miles to Exit #102. Turn left onto FS1375 and follow to the trailhead.

Note: Trails are usually closed after rainfall. Call ahead.

Overall, Sam Houston National Forest is the 6th most popular horse trail of all 22 horseback rides in Texas.
