Southeast of Amarillo, the Caprock Canyons State Park has 65 miles of trails. About 25 miles of the trails are in rugged terrain with cliffs and drop-offs.

To reach the horseback riding trailhead from Amarillo, head south on US27 to FM1065. Follow signs to State Park.
