Near Mena and west of Hot Springs in the Ouachita National Forest, the Eight West Equestrian Trail is a great horseback ride.

To reach the western horseback riding trailhead from the intersection of U 71 and SR 8 in Mena, go west on SR 8 for 14 miles. Take a right on FS 514 (Skyline Dr.) and travel about 0.5 miles to parking on the left.

Overall, Eight West Equestrian Trail is the 7th most popular horse trail of all 10 horseback rides in Arkansas.
