Near Eastford, the 12,935 acre Natchaug State Forest is very popular for its horse trails.

To reach the horse camp from the intersection of US 44 and SR 198 east of Ashford, go south on SR 198 for 3.7 miles. Turn left on Station Rd. and go 1.6 miles. Take a left on Kingsbury Rd. and go about 1 mile to Horse Camp on the right.

Overall, Natchaug State Forest is the 5th most popular horse trail of all 11 horseback rides in Connecticut.
