Alder Creek Trail Horseback Riding

The 23rd most popular equestrian trail in Colorado.

North of Telluride, the 5.5 mile Alder Creek Trail combines abandoned forest road and gentle trail for a trek into the Mt. Sneffels Wilderness Area. The route connects up with the Dallas Trail.

To reach the horseback riding trailhead from Telluride, head west on SR145 to Last Dollar Road (FS638). Turn right on FS638 for 10 miles across Last Dollar Pass. The trailhead is on the north side of the road about 0.25 miles past the pass.

Overall, Alder Creek Trail is the 23rd most popular horse trail of all 67 horseback rides in Colorado.
