Apache Maid Horse Trail

The 12th most popular equestrian trail in Arizona.

Acsending from Wet Beaver Creek, the 13 mile Apache Maid Horse Trail (#15) passes through red rock canyons on the way up to Apache Mountain lookout at FS620 & FS229. This is a 3,000 feet climb.

To reach the horseback riding trailhead from Flagstaff, head south on US17 for 40 miles. Exit east onto SR179 for 1.5 miles to the Beaver Creek Ranger Station. Turn north for 0.25 miles to the parking lot.

Overall, Apache Maid Horse Trail is the 12th most popular horse trail of all 49 horseback rides in Arizona.
