Bridle Trails Horseback Riding

The 8th most popular equestrian trail in California.

Located northwest of LA in the Santa Monica Mountains, the Malibu Creek State Park is a lush hiking haven remotely tucked away from the big city. It would take a full day and lots of energy to check out all of the horseback riding options from trails to dirt roads. An easy starter is old Crags Road which leads up to the old M.A.S.H. filming location. A more challenging trek is along the Backbone Trail. The MCSP is on Malibu Canyon Road (a.k.a. Las Virgines Road) about 6 miles north out of Malibu. It can also be reached from the Las Virgines Road exit of US101 by heading 3 miles south.

Overall, Bridle Trails is the 8th most popular horse trail of all 81 horseback rides in California.
