East of Augusta in Schuyler County, the Weinberg-King State Park has 30 miles of designated horseback riding trails from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. The park contains scenic woods and old pasture land with rolling terrain and steep hillsides. Parking and toilets are available near the trails.

Weinberg-King State Fish and Wildlife Area is an area of rolling hills with a meandering creek in western Illinois. The 772-acre State Fish & Wildlife Area, including a 4-acre pond, is in Schuyler County 3 miles east of Augusta north of Route 101.
