Northwest of Windsor in Shelby County, the Wolf Creek State Park has a 15 mile winding trail open to horseback riding. The trail offers rolling terrain, dense woods and open meadows. Parking, toilets and picnic facilities are available at the site. The park is located 8 miles northwest of Windsor in Shelby County, on the eastern shore of Lake Shelbyville.

Note: the park has horse rentals available.

Overall, Wolf Creek State Park is the 10th most popular horse trail of all 22 horseback rides in Illinois.
