Brushy Creek State Park Horseback Riding

The 4th most popular equestrian trail in Iowa.

Southeast of Fort Dodge near Lehigh, the 6,000 acre Brushy Creek State Park has 50 miles of horseback riding trails. Of the 50 miles, there are 15 miles of horse trails rarely close since they are rocked all-weather trails.

To reach the horse trails at Brushy Creek State Park from the intersection of US 20 and US 169 south of Fort Dodge, head east on US 20 for 9 miles. Turn right heading south on CR P73 (Union Ave.) and go 2 miles. Look for parking on the left.

Overall, Brushy Creek State Park is the 4th most popular horse trail of all 6 horseback rides in Iowa.
