The 3rd most popular equestrian trail in Maryland.

Southeast of Oakland in Garrett County, the 8,000 acre Potomac-Garrett State Forest has miles of horseback riding trails and logging roads through dense oak, cherry and maple forests.

The 10.5 mile Potomac River Trail System is located off Wallman Road and is accessible from SR560.

Overall, Potomac State Forest is the 3rd most popular horse trail of all 10 horseback rides in Maryland.
