Ohiopyle State Park Trails Horseback Riding

Southeast of Pittsburgh near Ohiopyle on Sugarloaf Mountain, the 19,000 acre Ohiopyle State park has 9.4 miles of rocky, hilly routes for horseback riding on mixed single and double tracks.
To reach Ohiopyle State Park from the PA Turnpike, take Exit 9, Donegal. Turn left on Rt. 31 east. Travel about two miles, turn right onto Rts. 711 and 381 south. Travel ten miles to Normalville (first stop sign), turn left onto Rt. 381 south for 11 miles to Ohiopyle.
Note: there is a separate parking area is off of Grover Road and has a fenced paddock and nearby water. Caution: mountain bikes also use the trails.
Overall, Ohiopyle State Park Trails is the 5th most popular horse trail of all 11 horseback rides in Pennsylvania.
