North of Cobourg, the 6600 acre Northumberland Forest has 23 km of trails open to horseback riding. To reach the trailhead from Route 401, follow Route 45 for 14 km northeast to Beagle Club Road. Proceed north on Beagle Club Road for 1 km to parking area on left.

Overall, Northumberland County Forest is the 5th most popular horse trail of all 6 horseback rides in Ontario.
