Jericho Horse Trail

The 2nd most popular equestrian trail in South Carolina.

North of Charleston and east of Moncks Corner in the Francis Marion National Forest, the Jericho Horse Trail is a 16.9 mile loop open to horseback riding. This route loops through pine stands and bottomland hardwood drains.

Note: This are is known for bad bugs during the summer. Also, the route is shared by mountain bikers and horses.

To reach the trailhead from Charleston, head east on US17 for 9.5 miles. Turn left heading north on SR41 for 18 miles through Wando to Huger. In Huger, veer right continuing north on SR41 for another 7.5 miles. Turn left into trailhead parking area.

Overall, Jericho Horse Trail is the 2nd most popular horse trail of all 11 horseback rides in South Carolina.
