Southwest of Boston and Foxboro, the 1,000 acre F. Gilbert Hills State Forest has 23 miles of multi-use horseback riding trails looping through the forest.

To reach the F. Gilbert Hills State Forest from Boston, head south on US95 to Exit 7. Follow SR140 north and then 3/4 around common, bear right onto South Street. Turn right onto Mill Street and follow the signs.

Overall, F. Gilbert Hills State Forest is the 21st most popular horse trail of all 23 horseback rides in Massachusetts.
