Monroe State Forest Horseback Riding

Northeast of North Adams and west of Monroe Bridge in the Berkshires, the 4,300 acre Monroe State Forest hasmiles of trails open to mountain biking, hiking and horseback riding through deep valleys and over forested mountains.
To reach the trailhead, follow SR2 to Florida. Turn north onto Tilda Hill Road and follow the signs.
Overall, Monroe State Forest is the 14th most popular horse trail of all 23 horseback rides in Massachusetts. Several of the better horse trails are nearby Monroe State Forest including Beartown State Forest and Chester-Blandford State Forest.
