South of Salmon and northwest of Leadore in the Leadore Ranger District, the Hayden Creek Trail (#6180) is a 10 mile horseback riding route ranging from 6,460 feet to 7,940. The trail runs from the Kadletz Creek trailhead to the Tobias Creek trailhead.

To reach the horseback riding trailhead from SR28 just north of Lemhi, head southwest on Hayden Creek Road for about 11 miles to the Tobias Creek trailhead.

Overall, Hayden Creek Trail is the 7th most popular horse trail of all 56 horseback rides in Idaho.
