Johnson Lake / Baker Lake Loop Horseback Riding

The 3rd most popular equestrian trail in Nevada.

Southeast of Ely and southwest of Baker in the rugged snake range, the Baker Lake / Johnson Lake Loop is a 13 mile horseback riding route through gnarled bristle cone pinestands past high peaks and caverns. Theres a nice side trip up Baker Peak.

To reach the horseback riding trailhead from Baker off SR487, head west on SR488 for 5 miles. Turn left heading south on FS590 to the end.

Overall, Johnson Lake / Baker Lake Loop is the 3rd most popular horse trail of all 24 horseback rides in Nevada.
