North of Vernal in the Ashley National Forest, the Lowline Trail is a 6 mile horseback riding route.

To reach the trailhead from Vernal, go north on US 191 for 45.5 miles. Turn right on Little Hole Rd. and travel 6.9 miles to the start of the trail.

Overall, Lowline Trail is the 9th most popular horse trail of all 25 horseback rides in Utah. Several of the better horse trails are nearby Lowline Trail including Granddaddy Lake Trailhead, Highline Trail, Leidy Peak Trail, Tepee-Red Lake Trail and Northfork Sheep Creek.
