On the eastern tip of Long Island, the Montauk State Park has 6 miles of multi-use trails for hiking, biking and equestrians through heavily wooded tundra.

To reach the horseback riding trailhead, follow SR27 east to the very end of Long Island.

Note, there are two trails open only to hikers; the Seal Haulout Trail and the Paumanok Path.

Overall, Montauk State Park is the 15th most popular horse trail of all 22 horseback rides in New York.
