Allaire State Park Horseback Riding

The 5th most popular equestrian trail in New Jersey.

South of Newark and north of Toms River in Monmouth County, the 3,000 acre Allaire State Park has 17 miles of horseback riding trails through flat and gently rolling terrain.

Allaire State Park can be reached from exit 98 off the Garden State Parkway or exit 31B off Interstate 195.

To reach the southern trailhead parking area from the intersection of I-195 and CR 547/CR 524 south of Farmingdale, go south on CR 547/CR 524 for 0.3 miles. Veer left onto CR 549 (Herbertsville Rd.) and travel for 1.4 miles. Veer left onto Squankum Rd. (Allenwood Rd.) and go 0.7 miles. Turn left onto Hospital Rd. and go about 0.5 miles to parking on the left.

Overall, Allaire State Park is the 5th most popular horse trail of all 19 horseback rides in New Jersey.
