West of Atlantic City and south of Vineland near Woodbine, the 20,700 acre Belleplain State Forest in Cumberland County has 27 miles of horseback riding trails along flat old roads and abandoned railroad grades.

The forest can be reached via the Garden State Parkway by taking exit 17 southbound (exit 17) to Routes 9 and 550 or exit 13 northbound. Highway signs are provided to guide the motorist to the forest.

Overall, Belleplain State Forest is the 11th most popular horse trail of all 19 horseback rides in New Jersey.
