East of Park Falls in Price County, the Flambeau Trail System has 60 miles of signed horseback routes on rolling terrain. The horseback riding trail system is highlighted by rolling terrain, tree lined corridors, wooden bridges, and vistas overlooking bogs and lakes. Along the trail there are several points of interest including the Smith Rapids Covered Bridge, Round Lake Logging Dam, and Camp Nine Springs. There is direct access to the communities of Park Falls and Fifield, lodging, camping, gas and restaurants. The trail is open for ATV use year ‘round. There are two trailheads: Blockhouse Lake and a parking area east of Fifield on SR70.

Overall, Flambeau Trail System is the 16th most popular horse trail of all 24 horseback rides in Wisconsin. Several of the better horse trails are nearby Flambeau Trail System including Perkinstown Multi-Use Trail and Smith Rapids Saddle Trail.
