Near Umatilla in the Ocala National Forest, the Praire Trail is a 40 mile route open to horseback riding. It is marked with white blazes.

Note: both black bears and alligators can be found within the Ocala National Forest.

Overall, Praire Trail is the 14th most popular horse trail of all 34 horseback rides in Florida. Several of the better horse trails are nearby Praire Trail including LAM Trail, Baptist Lake Trail, Flatwoods Trail, Black Prong, Apex / Tidewater Horse Trails and Marjorie Harris Greenway.
