Near Umatilla in the Ocala National Forest, the Baptist Lake Trail is a 20 mile route open to horseback riding. It is marked with blue blazes.
Note: both black bears and alligators can be found within the Ocala National Forest.
Overall, Baptist Lake Trail is the 11th most popular horse trail of all 34 horseback rides in Florida. Several of the better horse trails are nearby Baptist Lake Trail including LAM Trail, Flatwoods Trail, Black Prong, Apex / Tidewater Horse Trails, Praire Trail and Marjorie Harris Greenway.
