South of Tallahasse, the 30 mile Vinzant Riding Trail is in the northwest corner of the Apalachicola National Forest off SR20. The horseback riding trail has 2 loops (which overlap): an 11-mile loop and a 23-mile loop. The trail is marked with white, blue, and yellow blazes on different sections. The trailhead (a mowed field with no amenities) is located near the intersection of Forest Road 342 and State Route 267.

The 60,000 acre Apalachicola National Forest is a mosaic of wetland forests dominated by swamps, flatwoods, herbaceous bogs and savannas. Biodiversity consists of 50 species of mammals, 70 species of reptiles and 170 species of birds.

Overall, Vinzant Trail is the 12th most popular horse trail of all 34 horseback rides in Florida.
