Red Mountain Trail Horseback Riding

Southwest of Encampment in the Medicine Bow National Forest, the Red Mountain Trail is a 67.5 mile route open to horseback riding.

To reach the Red Mountain Trailhead from the intersection of SR 230 and SR 70 in Riverside/Encampment go west on SR 70 for 13 miles to Battle Pass. The trailhead is on the left.

Overall, Red Mountain Trail is the 19th most popular horse trail of all 33 horseback rides in Wyoming.
