Divide Peak Trail Horseback Riding

Near Saratoga in the Medicine Bow National Forest, the Divide Peak Trail is a 15 mile horseback riding route. The route follows a section of the Continental Divide Trail and is shared by hikers, mountain bikers, horseback riders, dirt bikers and ATV riders.
To reach the Deep Jack Trailhead from the intersection of SR 70 and SR 230 in Riverside/ Encampment, go west/south on SR 70 for 26 miles. Turn right onto FR 801 (Sage Creek Rd.) and go about 9 miles. Take Forest Road 830 for about 8 miles to the Deep Jack trailhead. This trail heads north to the western edge of the forest.
Overall, Divide Peak Trail is the 18th most popular horse trail of all 33 horseback rides in Wyoming. Several of the better horse trails are nearby Divide Peak Trail including Encampment River Trail, Red Mountain Trail and Pipeline Horse Trailhead.
