Northeast of Pensacola and south of Munson Crossroads in the Coldwater Recreation Area, there is a great 10 mile route known as the Coldwater Yellow-Orange-Yellow Loop Trail. The route traverses longleaf pine, southern red oak, water oak and dogwood forests.

To reach the horseback riding trailhead from Munson Crossroads, head south on SR191. Turn west on Hardy Road for 5.5 miles into the Coldwater Recreation Area.

There is another 10 mile route known as the Coldwater White-Red Trail.

Overall, Coldwater Trail is the 2nd most popular horse trail of all 34 horseback rides in Florida.
