East of Naples, the Belle Meade Horse Trail is a 22 mile horseback riding route through the 69,975 acre Picayune Strand State Forest. The very sandy trails are over rolling terrain. Watch out for black bear and panther.

Overnight camping is permitted by reservation, day riding is allowed at anytime.

To reach the trailhead from Naples, head north on US75 to Exit 111. Head east 9 miles on Immokalee Rd. (CR 846.) Turn right on Randall Blvd. and continue east for 4 miles. Turn right on Everglades Blvd. and drive south 8 miles, pass over I-75 (no exit). Go another 3/4 mile to 4-way stop. Turn right (west) on 52nd Av. SE. Go 1 mile. Trailhead and camping area is on right.

Note: M&H Stables are adjacent to the trail system.

Overall, Belle Meade Horse Trail is the 4th most popular horse trail of all 34 horseback rides in Florida.
