North of Troy in the Uwharrie National Forest, the Badin Lake Horse Camp provides access to a 32 mile Equestrian Trail System.

To reach the camp from Troy, head north on SR109 N through Uwharrie to Mullinix Rd. just past Macedonia Church. Turn left onto Mullinix Rd. Go past a small bridge and the Horse Camp will be on the right.

Overall, Badin Lake is the 8th most popular horse trail of all 18 horseback rides in North Carolina.
