Northeast of Grand Junction, the Battlement Trail is a 14 mile route. While this is a well-known trail for horseback riding, it has become very popular with ATV riders.

The western trailhead is located off US70 south of Una near the end of CR306.

Overall, Battlement Trail is the 36th most popular horse trail of all 66 horseback rides in Colorado. Several of the better horse trails are nearby Battlement Trail including Gunnison River Bluffs/Spanish Trail, Dominguez Canyon and Tabeguache Trail.
