The Big South Fork National Recreation Area has over 150 miles of developed horseback riding trails. A good starting point is the Bandy Creek Campground area.

The North White Oak Loop is a 20 mile route rolling through beautiful upland forest.

The Charit Creek Lodge Trail is a 7 mile route to the rustic namesake lodge.

Jacks Ridge Loop is a 6 mile trail.

Station Camp East Loop is a 13 mile route past old home sites, rock shelters and the Big South Fork River.

The Long Trail is a 40 mile route starting from the Long Trail parking area and runs along the Big South Fork River.

Overall, Bandy Creek is the 3rd most popular horse trail of all 21 horseback rides in Tennessee. Several of the better horse trails are nearby Bandy Creek including North White Oak Loop and Long Trail.
