White Sand Creek Trail Horseback Riding

The MOST popular equestrian trail in Idaho.

Southwest of Missoula and Lolo Pass, the 25 mile White Sand Creek Trail is a scenic horseback riding route along the White Sand Creek. It climbs from 3,400 feet up to 7,000 feet at Packbox Pass.

To reach the White Sand Creek Trail trailhead from Missoula, head south on US93 to Lolo. Turn right heading west on US12 for about 43 miles to FS102. Turn left heading south on FS102 for about 2 miles to the trailhead near NFS White Sand Campground.

Overall, White Sand Creek Trail is the 1st most popular horse trail of all 56 horseback rides in Idaho.
