Mason Pass Road Horseback Riding
The 10th most popular equestrian trail in Nevada.

Southwest of Reno and just west of Yerington, the Mason Pass Road is a 11 mile route open to horseback riding. It is part of the Yerington Multiple Use Trail System. This is a dirt road with steady elevation gain. Note: Loops via Mickey Pass are very rocky and difficult.
Parking for the Central Yerington trails is available at Weed Heights Park grounds or at the Highway 339 rest area just south of Yerington.
Overall, Mason Pass Road is the 10th most popular horse trail of all 24 horseback rides in Nevada. Several of the better horse trails are nearby Mason Pass Road including Carson River Trails, Fort Churchill Road, Pine Grove Trails and Weed Heights Area.
