Pine Grove Trails Horseback Riding

Southwest of Reno and south of Yerington, the Pine Grove Trails offer an 18 mile round trip horseback riding route on dirt roads. This is part of the Yerington Multiple Use Trail System. These roads access another 10 miles of upper trails. To reach the latter upper trails requires 1,600 feet of climbing.

To reach the horseback riding trailhead from Yerrington, head south on SR208 for 10 miles. Turn onto FS59 and park after the gate or drive to Pine Grove.

Overall, Pine Grove Trails is the 12th most popular horse trail of all 24 horseback rides in Nevada. Several of the better horse trails are nearby Pine Grove Trails including Carson River Trails, Fort Churchill Road, Mason Pass Road and Weed Heights Area.
