Rim Trail Horseback Riding

East of Murphy in the Nantahala National Forest, the Rim Trail is a 14 mile route open to horseback riding.

To reach the trailhead from Murphy, head east on US64. Turn left on SR1301. At the river crossing, turn right on SR1300. Turn left on SR1344. Turn onto FS340 where there are pulloffs to access the trail. The Bristol Fields Horse Camp is on FS340.

Overall, Rim Trail is the 16th most popular horse trail of all 18 horseback rides in North Carolina.
