North of Bryson City in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Deep Creek Trail is a 14 mile route open to horseback riding.

To reach the trailhead from Bryson City, head north on West Deep Creek Road for 2.5 miles. Trailhead is on the left.

Overall, Deep Creek Trail is the 15th most popular horse trail of all 21 horseback rides in Tennessee. Several of the better horse trails are nearby Deep Creek Trail including Balsam Mountain Trail, Cooper Road Trail, Wolf Ridge Trail, Welch Ridge Trail, Foothills Parkway and Lakeshore Trail.
