In the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Wolf Ridge Trail is a 67 mile horseback riding route open to hikers and horses.

To reach the trailhead from the intersection of US 129 and SR 28, head east on SR 28. Travel 3 miles to the trailhead on the left.

Overall, Wolf Ridge Trail is the 13th most popular horse trail of all 21 horseback rides in Tennessee. Several of the better horse trails are nearby Wolf Ridge Trail including Balsam Mountain Trail, Cooper Road Trail, Deep Creek Trail, Foothills Parkway, Welch Ridge Trail and Lakeshore Trail.
