East of Harrisburg and west of Shawneetown, the Beaver Trail is a 9.4 mile horseback riding route from Camp Cadiz Campground to the Rim Rock National Recreation Trail.

To reach the Camp Cadiz trailhead, take SR13 west from Shawneetown or east from Harrisburg and go south on State Route #1 for 12 miles. Go west on Cadiz Road for about 2 miles.

Overall, Beaver Horse Trail is the 15th most popular horse trail of all 22 horseback rides in Illinois.
