Southwest of Chicago near Palos Hills, the 6500 acre Palos Hills Forest Preserve has dozens of multi-use singletrack trails through hardwood forests open to hikers, mountain bikers and horseback riders. There are more than 50 miles of single and doubletrack.

To reach the trailhead from Palos Hills, head south on Archer Avenue. Turn left heading east on 95th Street . Continue past the stop sign and turn right at the next intersection. Use the Bullfrog Lake parking area.

Overall, Palos Hills Forest Preserve is the 19th most popular horse trail of all 22 horseback rides in Illinois.
