Near Washington and New Milford, the 650 acre Hidden Valley Reservation contains a network of 15 miles of roads and trails climbing out of the Shepaug River valley. All trails are open to hiking. Horseback riding and mountain biking are permitted on posted trails and carriage roads only.
There are three blazed trails in the Hidden Valley: Bee Brook Loop (2.2 mi), Van Sinderen Lopp (3.5 mi) and Pinnacle Trail (0.9 mi).
The trailhead parking area is located on SR47 (Bee Brook Road), about a mile north of the intersection with SR109 (Blackville Road).
Overall, Hidden Valley Reservation is the 10th most popular horse trail of all 11 horseback rides in Connecticut.
