Hot Creek Bridle Trail Horseback Riding

The 30th most popular equestrian trail in Idaho.

Northeast of Boise and southwest of Atlanta in the Boise National Forest, the Hot Creek Trail #047 is a 10 mile horseback riding route between Phifer Creek Road (FS156) at 5400ft and James Creek Road (FS126) at 7700ft. This lightly used, challenging route rolls over several major drainages.

To reach the horseback riding trailhead from the intersections of Quarts Street and Middle Fork Road in Atlanta, go west on Middle Fork Rd. for 1.8 miles. Branch left to the James Creek Road and head west/south for 4.7 miles to the trailhead on the right.

Overall, Hot Creek Bridle Trail is the 30th most popular horse trail of all 56 horseback rides in Idaho.
