Near Skykomish, the West Cady Ridge Trail #1054 is an 8 mile one-way horseback riding trail. This trail switchbacks up West Cady Ridge and eventually ends up at the top of Benchmark Mountain (elevation 5600 ft) offering amazing views. The trail is 7.8 miles one-way to the top of West Cady Ridge and it is another 4.8 miles to the top of Benchmark Mountain.

To reach the horseback riding trailhead from Skykomish, travel North on the North Fork Skykomish River Road #63 and follow it for approximately 19 miles to the trailhead. NOTE: At approximately mile 15.7 Road #63 turns sharply north. If you continue traveling east you will be on the #65 road.
